Born in Edinburgh and educated in Portsmouth and Glasgow, E. J. Richardson grew up with a fascination with science, space travel, and history. He joined the British Army in 2016, and passed time on deployments to Germany, Georgia, and the U.S. by writing The Swallow War, his first novel. He lives in Hampshire with his wife.
